Policies and Codes of Conduct

Our Policies

It is a condition of registration with the Bluejays Netball Club that all players and parents (when the player is 17 years or younger) agree to abide by the following policies and codes of conduct, related to accepted and expected behaviours of all Bluejays Netball Club players and parents.

BLUE JAYS NETBALL CLUB POLICIES

Communication Policy

Grading Policy

Refunds policy

Registering with Bluejays confirms an ongoing training and playing commitment for the season and requires pre-season and selection administration and costs.

Players who voluntarily withdraw after Team Selections but before the teams are announced will be charged a $75 administration fee. Netball QLD and WDNA component of the fees is subject to their approval (and out of our control). In our experience, it is very difficult for the NQ component to be reimbursed

No refunds are granted once Teams are announced. A refund will not be given for reasons such as unhappy with team selections, division/grade or coach.

unavailability to train/play at allocated time, clashes with other sport/social/work commitments, and change of mind. Refunds will be provided for extenuating circumstances such as injury and illness - medical certificate is required

Players whose fees are unpaid are unable to participate in the competition until fees have been paid

Breaches may lead to penalties such as fines, suspension, cancellation of registration, loss of competition points, or any other action deemed appropriate by the Bluejays Netball Club Committee.

When determining disciplinary action for Minor Discipline Breaches, the Club will assess the severity of the violation and whether the player has repeated the offense. As a consequence, the player may be temporarily stood down for up to two games. The player has the right to appeal the decision through the Bluejays  Netball Club Committee Player’s Representative or by following the Complaints and Appeals Procedures outlined by the Bluejays Netball Club.

Complaints/Appeals Procedures

Minor Discipline Breaches Include:

  3. Escalation: If the issue remains unresolved by the initial parties, the Team Manager should escalate the matter to the Committee President or Secretary as soon as possible.
  4. Considerations in Resolution: While working to resolve the issue, all parties should consider the following factors:
